E.S. Lloyd was born in Oldham, home of the tubular bandage and the test tube baby. She escaped from the industrial north of England, skipping across 26 countries and landing — improbably — in the mountains and lakes of northern Italy.
When not solving global health problems and teaching English in Afghanistan's underground schools, Eden writes poems, novels, and humorous memoirs.

Eden’s poems are brutal, funny, and deeply personal. They explore ambiguity and hypocrisy, courage and compromise, desire and politics, human and natural landscapes, and everything in between. She once famously performed at Poetry Pigs in Halifax, reducing herself and most of the audience to tears.
Testament to the raw.
